Fictional plumbing scenarios for a public Ava demo

A public demonstration needs a recognizable plumbing situation without encouraging visitors to share real addresses or expect an actual technician to respond.

01

The decision to make first

A public demonstration needs a recognizable plumbing situation without encouraging visitors to share real addresses or expect an actual technician to respond. Use clearly fictional properties and customers, with simulated intake and routing outcomes that cannot trigger real dispatch or customer-system writes.

02

What the handoff should contain

Prepare a scenario card with fictional location, problem, caller name, expected questions and the simulated outcome the visitor should understand.

03

Suggested wording to approve

Example wording: “This is a demonstration with fictional information. I can show how a request is captured and routed, but no technician will be dispatched.”

04

Test the difficult case

Test a visitor who gives fictional details and one who starts sharing real information, checking that the assistant restates the demonstration boundary. Do not place real customer details in a sample transcript or connect a fictional urgent scenario to a working on-call technician.

05

Worked example

Fictional example: Use an invented property and a fictional leaking-sink request. The visitor can hear the intake and see a sample summary, but every route leads to simulation. If the visitor substitutes a real address, the assistant should restate the fictional-data instruction and avoid turning the demonstration into an actual request for service.

06

Review it in operation

Review whether visitors understood the resulting sample record and whether the scenario exposed a useful handoff rather than merely a friendly conversation.
